HOWARD SCHNEIDER

2nd Generation Owner
1969-2017

Howard, having graduated from the University of Illinois, joined the company in 1969. He imbibed the importance of integrity from his father. Howard’s contributions to Huron were marked by his sharp business acumen, including expertise in computing technology and accounting systems. Over the course of 48 years, he skillfully managed the workflow of a high-volume plant, all while prioritizing both customers and the dedicated team members. It was Howard’s vision and success that laid the foundation for this enduring family legacy.

JEROME “JERRY” SCHNEIDER

Founder of Huron Paper Stock
1955- 1992

Jerry, the Founder, epitomized good old-fashioned hard work and perseverance. His journey began as a foreman at another paper plant in Chicago. It was his wife, Vivian, who urged him to forge his own path and leave a lasting legacy. Despite limited formal education, Jerry’s unwavering determination led him to establish Huron Paper on Huron Street in 1955. His bold step created a profound impact for himself and his family. We remain eternally grateful for Jerry’s unwavering confidence and vision.
